Structural Information and Communication Complexity (SIROCCO)

Considerable research efforts in the field of distributed computing are directed at understanding the nature, the properties, and the limits of systems of autonomous communicating agents.

The colloquia on Structural Information and Communication Complexity (SIROCCO) focus on the relationship between computing and communication and the study of those factors that are significant for the computability and the communication complexity of problems. This includes examining the interplay among structure, knowledge, and complexity in systems of communicating agents. Conference organizers solicit original papers dealing with this interplay in respect to distributed computing, parallel computing, mobile computing, optical computing, interconnection networks, wireless networks, high-speed networks, and other related topics.

The books in this series present the contributed papers and form a written record of each of the colloquia. Several papers are in the form of preliminary reports on ongoing research.

We intend these volumes give a good summary of activities in the field of structural information and communication complexity.
